This year’s theme is “The Songs of Christmas” and features a variety of traditional parade floats, marching bands and of course Santa with his sleigh! Parade Day: There’s no charge to attend the parade. Bring your own chairs, wear walking shoes and dress for cold weather! It’s a great time to enjoy a parade in downtown Fredericksburg. We are pleased to announce that Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) will host the inaugural Holiday Market, FAM Faire in the historic Market Square. This event will be a spectacular outdoor shopping experience in one of the most beautiful parts of our notable town. FAM Faire will take place December 8th 2018 from 10 am to 9 pm. These traditional German-style markets are based on the holiday tradition that began in Nuremberg, Germany, dating from the 16th century.
